regency boies in vintage chanel

i had the opportunity to style my best friend - Regency Boies - for the oscars last night. she wore this gorgeous vintage chanel dress i found at my favorite NYC gem, Ina. i hope to share clearer photos with you soon, but for now, you can get an idea of how special this gown is. gold beaded straps, a beaded sunburst with interlocking c's in the center over a blue velvet bodice, into a black skirt fully equipped with pockets. 


keep this girl on your radar. 

miranda kerr

per usual, i am drooling over miranda kerr's effortless sense of style. her skirt is acne, i found it here (sold out in my size, of course) but i am still on the hunt. love her half tucked leopard blouse, slightly slicked back hair, pink lips + nails and top handle bag. a little friday love to you all!

NYFW mercedes benz star lounge

one of my favorite parts of NYFW was tucking into the mercedes benz star lounge with cinched to hang with the likes of tina craig, andre leon talley and wesley cadle - creative genius behind the lounge's chic decor. head on over to culturemap to read our interview with wesley, and peruse more photos from our experience. . .

NYFW sachin + babi

double slit chiffon and leather gowns, woven and embossed leather bodices, pleats, colored leathers, fur bombers and pumps. the sachin + babi show was one of my favorites from NYFW. the pieces were incredibly wearable, with the perfect amount of edge. saw it all from the front row! the last shot is of kelly from the glamourai after the show - i loved how she layered her blouses with a blazer and chic trench. she is incredibly glamorous in person. 

NYFW mathieu mirano

the mathieu mirano presentation at lincoln center was exceptional, partly because of the drama and exoticism behind the feel of his "legendary and feminine" dragon inspired collection, but also because you knew you were in the presence of great new talent. his gowns were exquisite yet slightly dark with a regal feel. it was so exciting to see someone so young make their debut, and i predict he will be around for much longer. 

i wore a vintage balenciaga blouse, dvf mongolian lamb coat, 3.1 philp lim skirt, and alexander wang heels. 

NY Mag The Cut

getting snapped up after the karen walker show by a photog for NY Mag's The Cut. also did a video interview on my outfit (on a different day) for a german media company. will post that as soon as it's up.

NYFW yigal azrouel

yigal azrouel put a modern twist on 50's silhouettes with furry hats and boots, colored leathers and structured separates. with francoise hardy as his muse, the pieces were a bit more modest than his past collections, yet still as enticing. 


they always say you know when you are in the presence of a star - camila alves is just that. saw her at the show...her beauty is so radiant and unique. 


i wore  a coat by alexander mcqueen, vintage chanel heels, blouse by malene birger, unknown leather skinnies and vintage chanel bag.

from the top: from the front row at sachin and babi, across from bryan boy and rumi and next to the glamourai. for sure a shining moment/in a cab en route to lincoln center in a ginormous mongolian lamb DVF coat, my new best friend/photogs waiting in anticipation at karen walker/mussels and riesling on valentine's day at cookshopny in chelsea pre-show sachin and babi. 


 NYFW was everything and more. i had the most amazing time, met the coolest people, ate ridiculous meals and was fully immersed in fashion for days, more so than usual. did it all with my new pal cinched at the waist.

truth be told, i have always wanted pink highlights. i am so over the moon with LC's ombre pink hair. what do you think, could i pull this off?? i'm thinking would work best for summertime paired with a tan.

i stepped out last night to honor my fabulous mother in law (top left) for her nomination by the houston chronicle for best dressed! she received her well deserved award in a black and white sequined dress by oscar. congrats!
